Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms govern your use of Koticha, an Android application published by PsyByte Labs ("we", "us"). By installing or using Koticha, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What Koticha is

Koticha is a tool for teachers to record student scores, calculate totals and rankings, and export performance sheets. It runs entirely on your device and does not require an account, an internet connection, or any subscription to use.

Your responsibility for the data you enter

You are responsible for the accuracy of the student information, scores, and class records you enter into Koticha, and for how you use any exported report. Koticha performs calculations (totals, rankings) automatically based on what you enter, but the accuracy of the source data, and any decision made using an exported report, remains your responsibility.

Because all data lives only on your device, you're also responsible for keeping your device secure and for using the backup feature if you want to protect against data loss from a lost, damaged, or reset device. See our Privacy Policy for how data is stored.

No warranty

Koticha is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. While we test the app carefully, including real end-of-term use by practicing teachers, we can't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted on every device or Android version. We're not liable for data loss, calculation errors, or any consequence arising from use of the app, to the extent permitted by law.

Intellectual property

Koticha, its name, logo, and design are the property of PsyByte Labs. The student, class, and score data you enter remains yours. We don't claim any ownership over it, and since it never leaves your device, we never have access to it.

Changes to the app or these terms

We may update Koticha over time, including adding, changing, or removing features. If these terms change materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where practical, note the change here.

No affiliation

Koticha is an independent product of PsyByte Labs and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the Government of Malawi or any ministry, district office, or school board.
